About

My journey started with a close connection to neurodiversity, specifically a form of autism. This experience presented challenges, especially in adapting to the educational system.

However, I managed to surmount numerous obstacles, inspiring me to pursue a professional career and make a meaningful impact.

Tracy Flux
Director

As an accredited Psychotherapist, trauma therapist, and Supervisor with 16 years of experience, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise in education. While my professional journey has primarily unfolded within the education sector, I have also worked with various organisations, including charities, private enterprises, children’s centres, GP services, local authorities, and universities.

I provide constructive development and guidance to senior management teams and school staff through regular supervision sessions. I specialise in offering constructive support to professionals, adults, and young people within the education field to help them grow and develop both personally and professionally.

Over the past five years, I have seen first-hand the incredible benefits of organisational supervision. This process allows for dedicated time to reflect, review, clarify, revitalise, and collaborate on new ideas. As a result, it promotes a fresh perspective on our practices and creates a positive ripple effect throughout the entire system.

I am an integral part of the alliance team in the North West for qualified supervisors. My proficiency extends to trauma-focused therapy, particularly in the EMDR approach, aimed at diminishing the intensity of traumatic memories and associated emotions through bilateral stimulation.

I hold several qualifications, including a Postgraduate in clinical supervision training, and a foundation degree in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (CPCAB).

Animal-assisted ATT therapy skills are recognised by organisations like www.scas.org.uk. These qualifications enable me to address diverse psychological challenges and maintain quality standards in supervision, drawing from models such as Hawkins Shohet and Page & Woskett.

In addition, I have facilitated bespoke training sessions on topics such as therapeutic work with young individuals and clinical supervision. I am confident that my skills and experience make me well-suited to provide high-quality services to our clients.

My professional journey has primarily unfolded within the education sector, with engagements in charities, private enterprises, children’s centres, EAP companies, as well as referrals from GP services and local authorities.

Currently, I hold a contract with a university to deliver supervision in education and am an integral part of the alliance team in the North West for qualified supervisors. In this capacity, I offer regular supervision to senior management teams and staff in schools. Teaming up with a group of BACP-registered counsellors, I specialise in supporting professionals, adults, and young people within the education sphere.

Over the past four years, I’ve witnessed the transformative impact of organisational supervision, observing its positive ripple effect throughout entire systems. Supervision provides a dedicated space for reflection, review, revitalisation, clarity, and collaborative ideation, fostering new perspectives on our practices.

My proficiency extends to trauma-focused therapy, particularly in the EMDR approach, aimed at diminishing the intensity of traumatic memories and associated emotions through bilateral stimulation. Furthermore, completion of my Postgraduate in clinical supervision training equips me to maintain superior standards in supervision, drawing from models such as Hawkins Shohet and Page & Woskett.

Possessing a foundation degree in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (CPCAB), I am adept at addressing diverse psychological challenges. Additionally, I’ve facilitated bespoke training sessions on topics such as therapeutic work with young individuals and clinical supervision.

Moreover, my qualifications extend to animal-assisted therapy, where I’ve acquired skills recognised by organisations like www.scas.org.uk, harnessing the potential of animals to enhance mood, motivation, and stress reduction.

Completing vocational courses in Safeguarding for both children and adults, alongside specialised training in areas like Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) and suicide awareness (ASIST), I prioritise safety and well-being in my practice. Furthermore, holding an enhanced DBS underscores my commitment to maintaining a secure therapeutic environment.
