All counsellors at Livewell Counselling Service are members of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP – www.bacp.co.uk) and are bound to abide by their Ethical Framework for Good Practice.
Confidentiality is vital to a good client/counsellor relationship. All personally identifiable and sensitive information is kept securely and protected from unauthorised access or disclosure.
In our first session, we want to make sure we understand your unique situation, so we will take the time to gather information and complete a mental health assessment form. We also want to hear your reasons for seeking our service and discuss your goals so that we can provide you with the best possible support.
We know that this process can be emotionally taxing, so we will be there for you every step of the way and offer you strategies to help you cope. Remember, you are not alone, and we are here to help you on your journey towards better mental health.
The length of each session is 55 minutes and clients frequently mention that time flies by. The frequency of sessions is tailored to the individual needs of each client.
Our organisation provides online counselling services to individuals. However, we suggest that only people who are 18 years old or above use this service. As the first step, we offer a complimentary 20-minute telephone consultation call to address any concerns you may have regarding online access to our services. After that, we will send you an online agreement and schedule your first counselling session.
To make our Zoom meetings more enjoyable and successful, it’s important to have back-up plans in case of technical issues such as a contact phone number. We also suggest designating a quiet room for confidential discussions to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and can speak freely. We want to make sure that you feel valued and heard.
