FAQs

At Livewell Counselling Service, we pride ourselves on providing the highest standards of counselling services. All our counsellors are qualified professionals who are registered with or accredited by BACP.

Our commitment to quality has been recognised, and we have been awarded the Best Counselling Service in Chorley in 2022.

What is the difference between Counselling and Psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy is based on the psychodynamic approach. It encourages clients to explore how their past experiences affect their current problems.

Counselling is a therapeutic approach that emphasizes the emotional and cognitive experience of clients: their feelings and thoughts about the issue they are seeking help for.

What type of counselling will be offered at Livewell?

Psychotherapy, trauma therapy, person-centred.

How many sessions will I need?

Our experience has shown that a collaborative effort of 6 to 8 sessions is typically the most effective way to achieve our client’s goals.

How much will it cost?

Our fees are set at £55 per session and we offer two payment options: BACS transfer or cash. If you opt for BACS, we kindly ask that you transfer the amount after booking your appointment. If you prefer to pay with cash, you can do so at the start of your first session. We’re here to support you, and we look forward to working together to achieve your goals!

What if I have to cancel an appointment?

You can change or cancel your appointments without incurring any cost up to 24 hours before the scheduled time. However, the complete fee will be charged if you fail to provide 24 hours notice or miss the session without any prior notice. I will always try to arrange another appointment if you have to cancel on short notice.

Don't wait any longer. Take the first step to a happier life.
