Supporting Those Who Support Others. Livewell’s Commitment to Frontline Wellbeing in Chorley and Beyond

27/11/2025

At Livewell Counselling, we are proud to sit at the heart of Chorley’s community, supporting the people who dedicate their time, energy and compassion to others.

Across educational establishments, charities, local government, businesses and community organisations, frontline workers hold an extraordinary amount of emotional responsibility. They are often the first to hear difficult stories, the first to respond in moments of need, and the steady presence that helps others navigate change. Our role at Livewell is to support them — ensuring they are equipped, empowered and emotionally safe as they do this crucial work.

We are delighted to share that the national charity Victim Support has invited Livewell to deliver a bespoke workshop for their frontline staff. This interactive session focuses on wellbeing and resilience, exploring how professionals can sustain their emotional health while working closely with individuals who have experienced trauma, distress or significant life change. Resilience is not simply about “coping”; it is about developing the inner strength, boundaries and reflective capacity that allow frontline workers to continue offering compassionate, effective support without burning out. Supporting those who carry others’ lived experiences is essential — and we are honoured to be chosen to contribute to this important work.

Alongside this, Livewell has also been asked to start developing training around neurodiversity and how practitioners can better understand, engage with and support neurodivergent clients. This workshop will explore inclusive approaches, communication styles, sensory needs, and ways to create therapeutic environments that recognise and celebrate neurodiversity. As awareness grows and more individuals seek neuro-affirming support, we are excited to contribute to professional learning in this area.

Whether through counselling, supervision or tailored workshops, Livewell remains committed to strengthening the well-being of the people and organisations who keep our community thriving. By supporting those on the frontline, we strengthen the impact they can have and together, we create a more compassionate, resilient and informed Chorley.
